Representation Means Solving Problems!
ASDCE’s team of Stewards and Executive Officers work with experienced paid staff to respond to members’ needs quickly, solving problems at the lowest level if possible and beyond as needed. We aggressively defend and enforce our Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and win merit-based cases to achieve beneficial outcomes for our members.
If you are a member of ASDCE, we encourage you to call for help and advice. Our stewards, officers and staff stand ready to work with you, to get you the help you need, when you need it.
Your Weingarten Rights to Representation
“If you're called into a meeting with your supervisor or any management representative...and you are at all concerned that the purpose of the questioning might lead to discipline, please ask, “Can this lead to discipline?” If the answer is “yes”, "I’m not sure", or "maybe", please request your Weingarten Rights to Representation. Employees must ask for representation.
A standard statement to say is, “If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or discharged, I request that my ASDCE representative be present at this meeting. Without representation, I choose not to answer any questions.”
